Tera-Mai Seichem Reiki

Tera-Mai is a natural, holistic and safe system of healing. It is also a powerful tool for self development as the energies help us to move through the blockages that prevent our lives flowing as they should. Accelerating your personal, spiritual growth and development. Certified workshops at all levels held regularly in Sussex. Katie can travel to teach workshops with enough notice.

What is Chi Gong?

Many people will be familiar with the sight of people in the far east performing a series of slow motion exercises, early in the morning in the parks, or standing motionless with their arms out. These people are performing exercises which are designed to develop the Chi in the body. The Chinese believe that the Chi (or body energy ) has to circulate around the body freely before total health and well being can be achieved. This can be seen in the practice of acupuncture, where very thin needles are inserted in various places in the body to modify the flow of energy to aid healing, or in the practice of Chi Kung, where the use of body posture or movement is utilized to develop the internal energy or Chi.

Tai Chi and Qi Gong for Health

Tai Chi and Qi Gong provide a series of exercises that promote natural correct posture. Throughout the exercises the cardiovascular system is gently exercised. Positions that the student adopts throughout the movements gradually increase strength, especially in the legs. Students are taught slowly, therefore the risk of injury, is less than it would otherwise be, with more aerobic activity. However these systems are internal, so there is also training of the Chi in the body. It is this energy work that distinguishes these internal arts from simple "dance". By the use of the postures, visualizations and defined movement, the energy in the body is balanced which can lead to a feeling of well being and an improvement in health.
